We are in the process of constructing a finalized contestant list. UPDATE: Aart van Vliet from The Netherlands has informed me he will be arriving in Pennsylvania on September 17th to be an official contestant in World Record Weekend. Make sure you give Aart a warm welcome at Challenge Arcade. The excitement is building for Challenge Arcade's third annual (and biggest yet) tournament event! The playing field has been opened up for world record-caliber participants to choose any classic or modern game in Challenge Arcade's library, and thanks to sponsor QuarterArcade.com we can get a wide selection of classic arcade games! World Record Weekend itself is a record breaking event! This is the first time since 1985 that multiple, classic arcade game marathons will be happening at once! Also, It will be the first event of its kind to be partially streamed to the web. In addition, we will also feature big screen scoring as the contestants strive for the world record on their particular title. TooManyGames will provide a selection of console games for participants and spectators to play! High scores will be taken for the TooManyGames Hall of Records! There will be co-star guests on hand from the Motion Picture "King of Kong". Celebrities from the Motion Picture (and Television series) "Jackass" will also be attending World Record Weekend. Footage gathered at World Record Weekend will be featured in a Television pilot starring some of the cast of the Motion Picture "Jackass" and the folks at Game Casa.Undoubtedly the two best Frogger players in the world, Donald Hayes and Pat Laffaye, will be competing head-to-head in a "Frog-off". Both Don and Pat will be trying to best Pat's current Frogger record of 599,110. Should either gamer beat the fictitious score of 863,050 featured on the Television hit "Seinfeld", the first one to do so will win a Frogger arcade machine. There will be plenty of merchandise periodically handed-out from our sponsors, including but not limited to, t-shirts, mugs, soda, meal-deals, arcade merchandise, and much more!
